What is Amazon Easy?

Amazon Easy is an assisted shopping program for customers to walk in to an Amazon Easy Store & place orders on Amazon marketplace. Stores are enabled with demo products of brands & delivery services.

Amazon Easy stores bridge digital divide for India’s shoppers in smaller towns, cities

These stores help guests, who are still not completely onboarded onto the digital crusade, to place orders on Amazon’s online business with guided backing from the store staff.

“ It’s not like people do n’t have data connectivity or indeed the Amazon app on their phones, but they face challenges of knowing how to use it to their advantage. And that’s where I step by, to help them make informed purchasing opinions and also having it delivered to them through my Amazon Easy store,” says Ankit Jain.

Ankit Jain is the proprietor of a book store, Jain Book Depot, in the small city of Raisinghnagar in Rajasthan. He first heard about the Easy Store programme from an announcement posted on his community network. Curious, he went online to learn further about it and ended up getting a part of the Amazon Easy Store network.

“ My regular guests as well as new guests from the neighbourhood frequently face problems with online shopping, particularly when they’ve to make major purchase opinions involving consumer durables like refrigerators, washing machines or Television sets. Indeed if they’ve digital access, which numerous of them do n’t, they’re unfit to make a decision grounded on the product reviews and conditions. That’s why they come to my shop and I help them with the right suggestions grounded on their requirements and budgets,” shares Ankit Jain.

Easing the digital trip of India’s small businesses

To ease the online shopping gests of guests who aren’t digitally veritably smart, the Easy Store format allows them to place orders on Amazon’s online business with guided backing from the store staff. These stores also allow guests to pick up their orders directly from the store or get them delivered to their doorsteps.

Amazon Easy flagship stores

Piloted back in 2015, the Amazon Easy Store has expanded across countries and union homes in the country through two different formats. One of these is the Amazon Easy flagship store format where Amazon determines a client’s entire store experience. All flagship stores have physical products fromAmazon.in on display and they also offer pick-up and delivery services to guests. The other is the participated store format where Amazon appoints associates from neighbourhood shops similar as original kirana stores, apothecaries and stationery stores, like that of Satya, Nishant Yadav and Ankit Jain. These small business possessors with their own retail stores also give Amazon Easy services alongside their primary businesses.
Irrespective of the store format, all Amazon Easy store possessors are trained to help guests find, decide and buy products of their choice from the Amazon business. Guests who grapple with digital access can walk into their original Amazon Easy Store for backing, where the store staff help them browse and elect products, produce their Amazon accounts, place orders and checkout to buy.

Amazon.in has also enabled store possessors with its last- afar delivery programme, “ I Have Space”, which helps them deliver packages to guests in their original neighbourhoods and also facilitates guests to pick-up packages from their stores.

Terms and Conditions –Enrollment as Amazon Easy Store

• Enroll as Amazon Easy Stores (each a “Store”):

o A Store (which includes a store owner(s) / operator(s) and/or its associate(s)) will be enrolled under the Amazon Easy program by/ with a marketing partner registered with Amazon (each a “Marketing Partner”), subject to fulfillment of certain criteria(s) and qualifications communicated to the Store.

o The enrollment as an Amazon Easy Store by/ with the Marketing Partner is available on first-come first-serve basis.

o A Store will be able to participate in Amazon Easy program only after successful enrollment with a Marketing Partner and completion of the pre-conditions of enrollment.

• Pre-conditions of enrollment: o A Store will have to incur a one-time expenses of INR 3 lakh (approx.), at its sole costs, as a pre-condition for enrolling with the Marketing Partner under the Amazon Easy program. There are no fees or charges required from Amazon to set up an Amazon Easy Store.
o This aforesaid amount of INR 3 lakh (approx.) will be spent in the following manner –  INR 2,60,000 will have to be directly submitted to the Marketing Partner. After deduction of operational, enrollment and other costs by the Marketing Partner (which would amount to INR 20,000 approx.), the remaining amount will be utilized for setting up the Store as per Amazon standards and by Amazon’s authorized vendors. The above amount, once paid to the relevant Marketing Partner, is non-refundable.  The remaining amount, i.e., INR 40,000 (approx.), will be utilized in Store’s civil works. All of the Store’s civil work will have to be carried out independently by the Store’s owner(s) / operator(s) based on the specifications communicated by the Marketing Partner. o The above terms are in addition to other terms and conditions which may apply and will be communicated to the Store by the Marketing Partner.

• Consideration:

o In consideration of the activities undertaken by a Store under the Amazon Easy program, the Store will be paid certain pre-agreed fees by the Marketing Partner.

o The percentage of fees may be subject to change, from time to time, and upon prior notice by the Marketing Partner.

o ** Earnings with Last mile delivery service – Such earnings will be received pursuant to successful registration under a separate program, subject to store’s eligibility for such enrollment and the term and conditions of such program. • Marketing Support:

o The Marketing Partner may provide support to Stores for undertaking certain marketing activities, from time to time, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria, if any, associated with such marketing activity.

o The details will be communicated to the Stores by the Marketing Partner from time to time.

• Acknowledgement and Disclaimer:

o A Store will be enrolled under the Amazon Easy program by and with the Marketing Partner (an entity independent of Amazon) and in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed inter-se between such Store and Marketing Partner. Accordingly, all payments pursuant to the program will be made to and received from the Marketing Partner and Amazon will not be involved in any transaction with a Store. The responsibility and liability to pay any fees will be solely of that of the Marketing Partner.

o Amazon shall neither be liable nor responsible for any actions or inactions of any Marketing Partner nor any breach of conditions, representations or warranties by the Marketing Partner made to the Store under an agreement or otherwise, and hereby expressly disclaim any and all responsibility and liability in that regard.

o Further, Amazon shall not mediate or resolve any dispute or disagreement between the Store and the Marketing Partner. o The Store acknowledge and undertake he/she/it will apply for enrollment under Amazon Easy program and transact with a Marketing Partner at his/her/its own risk and the Store will use his/her/its best and prudent judgment before enrolling and entering into any transactions with a Marketing Partner.

o Neither Amazon nor the Marketing Partner makes any promises or representations whatsoever as to the amount of business a Store can expect at any time pursuant to enrolling under the Amazon Easy program. The total fee earned by a Store would depend upon a number of factors which are not controlled by Amazon or the Marketing Partner.
